As I lately have a little time, I had been browsing on the web the other day. Trying to find new, interesting thoughts, inspiring dishes that I have never tried before, to delight my family with. Searching for quite some time but couldn’t discover any interesting stuff. Just before I wanted to give up on it, I stumbled on this tempting and easy dessert simply by chance. It looked so yummy on its photo, that required fast action.

It absolutely was not difficult to imagine how it’s made, its taste and just how much boyfriend is going to love it. Actually, it is quite easy to impress him in terms of puddings. I was tweaking the main recipe create it for the taste of my family. I have to say it was a great outcome. They loved the flavour, the overall look and loved getting a delicacy like this in the midst of a lively workweek. They ultimately wanted more, a lot more. So the next occasion I’m not going to make the same mistake. I’m likely to twin the quantity .

This is based on the Tomato Sauce Homemade from SunCakeMom

Wash tomatoes and basil leaves carefully.

Chop tomatoes up in quarters and put them into the vegetable blender accompanied with the basil, oregano and some salt. In case of pureed tomatoes just mix the ingredients together.

Blend them mildly.

Pour some oil into a saucepan, heat it up then add the diced onions.

Saute on high heat until the onion gets a translucent / glassy look for about 3 – 5 minutes.

Reduce the heat and slowly cook the onion while stirring every now and then until it starts to caramelize for about 15-20 minutes.

Pour blended tomatoes into the saucepan and bring it to boil.

When it bubbles turn the hob on low heat and leave the sauce there to be cooked for about half an hour. Stir it occasionally.

When its consistency becomes thick, take it off the heat.

Use it immediately or save it for later by storing it in a jar in the fridge. It also freezes well.
